It is really important that your child is able to recall number facts quickly and accurately so that they make good progress in Maths.

Children are expected to know all their tables by the time they are in Year 4.

They need to practise their times tables every single day. When children know their multiplication tables automatically, it means they can concentrate on the harder things in Maths such as problem solving. If they do not know their tables, they will struggle and fall behind.
