Reading at home

Escape reality by sharing a book with your children. This could be a book that you are reading to them or a book that they read to you. Why not also take a photo of yourselves sharing this book and send it into us. We would love to see it!

Below, I have attached some examples of books that you may have at home that could be shared with your children:

MYON

Years 2 – 6 should now all have a logon for myon – an online reading portal linked to their Accelerated Reader. Your child/children will be able to choose reading books for pleasure in the library area but also their class teachers will be allocating books for them with questions as part of their reading home learning in the projects section of the website. If you do need any logon details, please contact the school.

Draw an image of your favourite book character and write a sentence or paragraph explaining why you like this character or how they inspire you.

Send your images to LBrettle@bromley.drbignitemat.org

ACCELERATED READER

Those children, who have finished their physical AR book are able to take the quiz online by visiting this link. They will need to add in with their AR password not their MYON password. If they cannot remember their password, please get in touch with me (Mrs Brettle), my email iabove.
